Only one subject of importance today. My mom had her surgery, everything went very well, and she is recovering (at last report) very nicely.

Dad called at around 9 this morning to say they had just taken her back. He expected they would start operating within half an hour. She had told me the surgery would last around 4-5 hours, so I was prepared to have to wait until late afternoon for a call.

A little after one o'clock, Dad called to say all went well. I was a little apprehensive to get a call so soon and a little scared to answer the phone.
