My mom leaves for her surgery tomorrow. I have spent a little time looking at the description of the procedure, but it is a little frightening. My tiny mom is going to have her ribs cracked, her heart stopped and her body cooled to 27 degrees Celsius. I have to admit I am scared. She is a strong woman and she never lets on that she doesn't feel a hundred percent. The crazy thing has moved entire rooms of furniture, by herself, frequently. But life is fragile and I want her around for a long time. This is my mom:
